When should you conduct a periodic technical check-up of a passenger car?

For a new passenger car, the first periodic technical inspection must be carried out before 3 years have passed from the date of first registration. The next inspection is carried out before 2 years have passed from the first one, and each subsequent inspection is then done annually (every year). This rule is regulated by Art. 81 para. 6 of the Road Traffic Act.
