According to Art. 28 para. 3 pt. 3 of the Road Traffic Act, a driver is prohibited from overtaking on a railway crossing and immediately before it. This prohibition is absolute and aims to ensure maximum safety and to clear the tracks as quickly as possible. An overtaking manoeuvre in such a dangerous place is not permitted, even if the barriers are open.
