Yes, you must give way to the pedestrian. According to Art. 26 para. 2 of the Road Traffic Act, a driver turning into a side road or entering a property is obliged to give way to a pedestrian. When entering the gateway, you are crossing the pavement, therefore the pedestrian has priority over you.
