In the situation presented, where there is a significant reduction in speed and one of the lanes ends, the 'zipper merge' principle applies. According to Art. 22 para. 4a, the driver of vehicle no. 3 moving in the lane that continues is obliged to enable vehicle no. 2 to change lanes directly in front of them.
