If a vehicle becomes immobilised at a level crossing, should you remove it from the crossing immediately?

In the situation shown in the photo, you are approaching a railway crossing. If your vehicle were to stall on it, according to Art. 28 para. 4 of the Road Traffic Act, you are obliged to remove it from the crossing immediately. This is an absolute priority due to safety and the long braking distance of a train; only if removing the vehicle is impossible should you warn the driver of the rail vehicle.
