The driver of a vehicle registered in the territory of the Republic of Poland and possessing a driving licence issued by the authorities of the Republic of Poland is obliged to carry and present at the request of a competent authority:

Under current regulations, the driver of a vehicle registered in Poland who holds a Polish driving licence is not required to carry this document with them. However, in the event of its retention by an authorised authority, the issued receipt becomes the sole proof of entitlement to drive and therefore it must be carried to be presented during an inspection.
