At what distance behind a broken-down passenger car, parked on a motorway, should you place a warning triangle?

According to Art. 50 para. 2 of the Road Traffic Act, on a motorway or expressway, the warning triangle must be placed 100 m behind the vehicle. Such a long distance is necessary because vehicles travel at high speeds on these types of roads and need more time and space to react safely. In addition to placing the triangle, the driver is obliged to switch on the hazard warning lights.
