The amber signal, emitted by the S-1 traffic light, generally prohibits driving past the signal. However, there is an important exception to this rule. According to § 95 para. 1 pt. 2 of the regulation, entry is permitted if, at the moment the amber signal appears, the vehicle is so close that it cannot be stopped without sudden braking, which could create a hazard.
