What behaviour increases the risk of skidding on icy road surfaces?

The image shows a snowy road surface on a curve, which involves significantly limited wheel grip. Maintaining too high a speed in such conditions, especially on a bend, generates centrifugal force that can easily lead to loss of control and skidding. According to Art. 19 para. 1 of the Road Traffic Act, the driver is obliged to drive at a speed ensuring control over the vehicle, taking into account the surface condition and the terrain.
