If you park a broken-down car outside a built-up area, are you obliged to place a warning triangle immediately behind the car or on it?

On roads outside built-up areas, different rules apply for signalling the stationary position of a damaged vehicle than in the city. According to Art. 50 para. 2 pt. 2 of the Road Traffic Act, in such a situation, the warning triangle should be placed at a distance of 30–50 metres behind the vehicle, rather than directly behind or on it. Placing the triangle directly on or by the vehicle is only required in built-up areas.
