Are you obliged to make sure that all passengers have left the tram, before entering into the depot?

The tram driver is responsible for passenger safety at all times during the journey. Before the vehicle returns to the depot at the end of its service, the driver has an absolute duty to check that all passengers have left the carriage. Leaving anyone on board the vehicle would constitute serious negligence and a threat to that person's safety.
