How should you set the hydraulically controlled facing-point switch in the event of the necessity to drive when reversing a double carriage tram?

During a reversing manoeuvre with a train of carriages, such as the one visible in the picture, the automatic control system for a trailing point may not function correctly. Passing through an incorrectly set point creates a very high risk of the vehicle derailing. To ensure safety, the tram driver is required to check and, if necessary, manually set the point in the correct, desired direction of travel before passing through.
