According to Art. 26 para. 1 of the Road Traffic Act, when approaching a pedestrian crossing, the driver is obliged to exercise special caution, which means closely observing the behaviour of pedestrians. Ignoring their presence is unacceptable, as you are obliged to yield the right of way to a pedestrian entering or already on the crossing.
