Yes, when performing the manoeuvre of passing a stationary object, you must always maintain a safe distance from the vehicle, road user, or obstacle being passed. This obligation, stemming from Art. 23 para. 1 pt. 2 of the Road Traffic Act, also applies to the temporary traffic island visible in the video. Failure to maintain an appropriate distance risks driving onto the obstacle and losing control of the vehicle.
