Is it forbidden to perform a reverse manoeuvre on a bridge?

Yes, reversing on a bridge is strictly prohibited. This manoeuvre creates a huge hazard because it can surprise other drivers and lead to an accident. According to Art. 23 para. 2 of the Road Traffic Act, reversing is also forbidden in tunnels, on viaducts, and on motorways and expressways.
