Is it prohibited to reverse on a two-way road?

Reversing onto a two-way road is a permitted manoeuvre, provided it does not create a hazard to traffic safety. According to Art. 23 of the Road Traffic Act, a driver must exercise particular caution when reversing and give way to other road users. Regulations only prohibit reversing in strictly defined places (e.g., in tunnels, on bridges, on motorways), and an ordinary two-way road is not one of them.
