What documents are you obliged to carry with you and present at the request of a competent authority when driving a vehicle registered abroad in the territory of the Republic of Poland?

Description

Road Traffic Act (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 110 and item 1517) Art. 38 para. 2
Explanation

Correct answer: Document confirming the conclusion of a compulsory civil liability insurance contract by the vehicle owner.

When driving a vehicle registered abroad, you are obliged to carry with you and present on demand a document confirming the vehicle's admission to traffic (registration certificate) and a document confirming the conclusion of a third-party liability insurance contract. This is required by Art. 38 para. 2 of the Road Traffic Act. Unlike vehicles registered in Poland, this data is not available to the authorities in the CEPiK system.
