If you are involved in a road accident in which there are injured persons, are you allowed to move away from the scene of the incident after calling the emergency services?

In accordance with regulations, in the event of involvement in a road traffic accident in which a person is killed or injured, the driver is obliged to remain at the scene of the incident. Leaving the scene is permissible solely for the purpose of summoning assistance; however, it is necessary to return immediately. Merely calling the emergency services does not absolve the driver of the duty to remain at the scene until the police arrive and have completed their procedures.
